Always take care to note the delivery time mentioned in a company’s ad, website or other documents such as emailed order confirmations before you make an online or phone purchase. If a delivery time is not specified, the company must ship the product within a reasonable number of days after the order has been placed. If it is unable to do so, the company must ensure that you are informed and it must give you the opportunity to agree to the delay or cancel your order and receive a refund.

If you are having problems, the easiest solution is often to contact the retailer directly. You can call or send an email, and if that does not work, send a complaint letter by courier or registered mail. If you have paid by credit card, you can contact your credit card company to dispute the charges. If you used another payment method, contact CRC or a law advisor to discuss your legal alternatives.
