By enforcing the implementation of existing Pakistan Standard and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) standards, public health Pure Food Drugs and Safety Laws in the Province of Sindh, through the Sindh Police and other law enforcement agencies, under the provision of Chapter XIV of the Pakistan Penal Code 1860, ‘Offences Affecting the Public Health, Safety, Convenience, Decency and Morals’, and Chapter III of the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority Act 1996, ‘Power and Functions of the Authority’.


  By enforcing the implementation of existing laws relating to counterfeiting and infringement of trade or property marks and copyrights in the Province of Sindh through the Sindh Police and other law enforcement agencies, under the provision of Chapter XVIII of the Pakistan Penal Code 1860, ‘Offences Relating to Documents and to Trade or Property Marks’ and under the Provision of Chapter XIV of the copyright Ordinance, 1962, ‘Offences and Penalties’.

By liaisoning with relevant Government agencies and manufacturers and merchants to stop the manufacture, import and export, distribution and sale of adulterated and noxious food or drink, drugs, poisonous substances, counterfeit and or infringing goods within the Province of Sindh.

By liaisoning with relevant Government agencies and concerned persons to stop public nuisances, the spread of infectious diseases, fouling of water of public springs or reservoirs, spoiling of the atmosphere, rash driving or navigation of vehicles and vessels, dangerous obstruction of pulling highways or lines of navigation, negligent conduct with respect to fire or combustible matter, explosive substances, machinery and pulling down and repairing buildings and cruelty to animals, etc.

By determining if any dilatory tactics are being adopted by the investigation officer in the cases relating to said offences.

By determining if the processes of the law are being served properly in connection with the said offences.

By collecting statistics of various kind of cases, relating to the said offences, that are registered with the Police and disposed of during a specified period.

By performing such other functions as may be assigned to us by the Government.
